The aim of this course is to present advanced subjects in operations management. The main focus is on process-operations modeling, analysis and management for continuous improvement . At the end of the course the student should be able to understand and elaborate on:

 

  • Advanced issues in operations management
  • Choosing appropriate methodologies and tools (costing, quality, project management etc.) in operations management
  • The importance of human resources in operations management
  • The importance of quality management and project management in operations management
  • The use of information systems and ERP systems in operations management
